Thank you tags using Honey Bee from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! A quick post from me today, I don’t seem to have time to blog much anymore. I made these thank you tags recently when I sold some retired stamp sets – much as I’d like to I can’t keep them all.

I used the Honey Bee stamp set. I actually bought the bundle but just used the stamps here.

I don’t know why I waited so long to buy – I love it! There is loads of detail in the bee wings isn’t there. I have plans for the dies too now, hopefully it won’t be too long before I use them.

It’s the last month of Sale-a-bration and there is some free DSP that goes with this bundle, all black and gold and lovely.

If you’d like to know more about Sale-a-bration and how to get free stuff, or just want to know more about Stampin’ Up! please contact me.

Best Dressed card using Stampin’ Up! supplies

This is one of those suites that Stampin’ Up! are so good at – you look at it and can see a few possibilities, but then the more you look at it, the more you can do with it. I didn’t buy the DSP to start with, but then saw lots of ideas using it, so had to cave in and buy it, don’t you find that you do that too?

I coloured the perfume bottle and lipsticks using Blends pens, then die cut them and stuck them on using Dimensionals. For the Hello fabulous sentiment I used vellum and heat embossed in white on it so that it would stand out a bit more. Add a flower as a finishing touch and voilà, my card is done!

Also in this suite there are some lovely tassels, some Mint Macaron ribbon and some 3 x 3″ notecards and envelopes which fit into the bag that you can make with the dies. More on that in a future post. You can also order the whole suite using one code which is a good idea from Stampin’ Up! Look out for those bags, they’ll be here soon!

Dinoroar and Mosaic Mood squishy Bag – Stampin’ Up! supplies

This squishy bag is just right for putting some treats in. It’s quite wide on the bottom so you’d fit quite a lot in. I pinched the idea from my upline Sam (Pootles) – she’s the queen of bags and boxes! I wanted to use this dinosaur, isn’t he adorable? And the sentiment is brilliant too – Thanks for being a friend-a-saurus. Love it.

So to make this bag you’ll need a piece of DSP that’s 6 x 12″ (15.25 x 30.5cm)

Score it on the long side at 2 7/8, 5 3/4, 8 5/8 and 11 1/2″ ( 7, 14, 21, 28cm)

Score it on the short side at 1 5/8 (4cm).

The DSP I used is Mosaic Mood and has shiny bits on it although you can’t really see them in the photos. I wanted to use it because I think it looks like the dinosaur is wading through the jungle!

Happy Birthday To You card using Stampin’ Up! supplies

I don’t know what packs the biggest punch on this card, the cake or the embossing! It certainly makes for a great combination. The embossing folder is from the fabulous Parisian Blossoms suite in the new mini Spring/Summer catalogue. It’s a 3D folder and it’s beautiful as you can see.

I stamped the cake onto Whisper White card and coloured it using Blends pens. They are so easy to use and they make you look like a bit of an artist, even if like me you’re not. And what’s also great about this stamp set is it’s free – you can get it by spending £45/€60. So, order some blends, some cardstock, and the embossing folder and you could get the stamp set for nothing. Even better, there are some dies coming in February that will cut out the cake! More on that to come.

If you’d like any more information about Sale-a-bration and how to get free stuff, or think you’d like to join my Stampin’ Up! team, and I’d really love you too, please contact me. There’s a great joining offer on at the moment and you’ll get extra stuff in your joining order.

Noble Peacock card using Stampin’ Up! supplies

Sometimes a stamp set or bundle grows on you over time, and sometimes you see something and love it straight away, and it was love at first sight for me with the gorgeous Noble Peacock suite. The only question is, why has it take so long for me to get it out and use it!

For this card I CASE’d the catalogue and used gold embossing for the detailed bits of the peacock’s feathers. I used Shaded Spruce for the main stamp. I decided to emboss the background layer and the frame around the peacock, but used the debosssed side for the background which looks great.

I like that the peacock just peeps over the frame – I used dimensionals to pop him up. I did try using just a rectangle frame but it didn’t look right because the frame was too narrow so I did what Stampin’ Up! did and used the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

I didn’t use any of the beautiful shiny cardstock either because I wanted the peacock to be the main focus. Hope you like him!

Peaceful Poppies suite from Stampin’ Up!

So this is my last of 3 posts featuring the beautiful Peaceful Poppies suite. I know I’ll be making more, but there are other stamp sets I’m dying to show you! The mini spring/summer catalogue is packed with so many goodies – contact me if you’d like a copy.

This time I’ve used the DSP for the background and added a simple poppy flower from the Painted Poppies stamp set. I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Peaceful Moments set.

Did you know that you can buy the entire suite which includes both bundles, the DSP and some extras – sequins, ribbon and some lovely elements – by using just one reference number?

I coloured the poppy using Powder Pink (light) and Poppy Parade (light) blends. The sequins were free – part of a Sale-a-bration pack with 2 spools of twine.

Here are the 3 projects from this little mini-series. There is so much you can do with this suite. I have plans to use yellow and blue (not together!) to make a completely different look altogether. And what about black and white, that would be stunning! I’d love to see what you make with this suite.

Peaceful Poppies box using Stampin’ Up! supplies

Today I’ve made a 3D project using the lovely Peaceful Poppies. I’ve decided to do a little mini-series, so I have another card for you in the next post. I just love this suite so much!

So here is my box – I used my upline Sam’s measurements from a post of her’s that’s 6 years old.

The cardstock is 8″ x 11″ (21 x 28cm)

Score on the long side at 1½”, 4¾”, 6¼” and 9½” (4, 12, 16 and 24cm)

Score on the short side at 1½” and 6½” (4 and 17cm)

I’ve used more of the DSP and a different stamp this time. The cardstock is Rich Razzleberry. I’ve added some Wink of Stella to the flowers but you can’t really see it in the photos. I also used Rich Razzleberry blends to colour the flowers. Don’t you think that this project looks completely different to Saturday’s card because the colours are different?

The gold/yellow twine is one of the free Sale-a-bration items that are available for every £45/€60 you spend from now until the end of March.

If you want any more information about this or anything at all to do with Stampin’ Up! please contact me! Back in a couple of days with another card using the Peaceful Poppies suite.

Pootler’s blog hop – Peaceful Poppies from Stampin’ Up!

Yay! It’s time for the Pootler’s blog hop. Please take some time to hop around the other blogs taking part – listed below.

I decided to use the Peaceful Poppies suite for my card. There are actually 2 bundles in this suite, plus DSP, ribbon, sequins and some fab elements.

For this card I used both bundles, Painted Poppies, and Peaceful Moments, which co-ordinate perfectly with each other .

A little tip for you. I didn’t have any Poppy Parade cardstock for the poppies so I used my Blends pen to colour in some Whisper White card to die cut out. I purposely made it a little uneven and I like the look of it.

I used a strip of the lovely DSP to put behind the die cut flowers and leaf. The biggest poppy is popped up on dimensionals, the smaller poppy and leaf I attached directly to the card.

Hope you like it! Don’t forget to hop around the other blogs. If you’d like a catalogue please contact me. Don’t forget it’s Sale-a-bration time too, which means FREE stuff for every £45/€60 you spend.

Stampin’ Up! Exciting news about Paper Pumpkin for Europe

Paper Pumpkin is coming for a limited period!

Hello! After a long break I’m back.

I recently attended my first OnStage event in Telford and there was lots of news about new ‘stuff’ that’s on its way. One of those was the new catalogue of course, but there was also news about Paper Pumpkin.

This is something that has long been available in the US and Canada and is now going to be available for a limited time in Euope. So on May 15 while stocks last a card kit will be issued. It has been designed by Shelli the founder of Stampin’ Up!. Inside will be a kit to make 12 cards, 4 each of 3 designs. Everything you need to make the cards is included apart from the stamp block. So card bases, envelopes, stamps, adhesives, embellishments, and one ink spot are all included.

I can show you one of the cards, but part of the fun of Paper Pumpkin is the element of surprise, so none of us know what the other cards look like! Here is the card we were given a sneak peek of:

Isn’t it lovely! And the envelope is lined too. Even better.

If you’d like to order please let me know – orders start on May 15 and the cost is £20 or €26 for the kit. Don’t forget that you will end up with 12 cards and envelopes and will still have the stamp set to keep afterwards.

If you’d like to see the new catalogue and you don’t currently have a demonstrator please let me know! I’ll be sending them out in May.
